Indus Kay Sitaray: A Beacon of Hope Celebrates Its 11th Graduation Ceremony

Indus Kay Sitaray (IKS), the hospital-based school of Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN), celebrated its 11th graduation ceremony, honouring the inspiring journey of the hospital’s long-term paediatric patients. The heartwarming event saw patients, families, and IHHN staff come together to applaud the exceptional achievements of these young warriors.

This year’s graduating class comprised 50 courageous children from across Pakistan. Dressed in blue and gold graduation robes, they proudly took to the stage to receive their certificates, report cards, and medals. Each step they took was met with resounding cheers from their families, healthcare providers, and teachers—who supported them every step of the way through their medical and educational journey. For the past six years, Shahwilayat Public School has been a key partner with Indus Kay Sitaray, a service of IHHN’s Psychosocial Department, providing free, quality education to paediatric patients.

IKS ensures that children can continue their education while receiving medical treatment, allowing them to thrive despite their health challenges. Education brings a sense of normalcy to these young lives, allowing them to feel like their lives are not paused during treatment, but still growing and learning. Moreover, it has a profound impact on their mental development, as it provides a much-needed distraction from the challenges they face, boosting their morale and overall well-being. Friends of Indus Hospital, Germany firmly believes in the emotional and psychological benefits of education for these brave young warriors, and we’re committed to supporting their educational needs every step of the way.
