Make-A-Wish Foundation Delegation Visits Indus Hospital to Grant Wishes for Critically Ill Children

Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) welcomed the Make-A-Wish Foundation delegation, led by Mr. Luciano Manzo, CEO (International) and Mr. Ishtiaq Baig, CEO (Pakistan). The visit aimed to strengthen partnerships and bring joy to critically and terminally ill children by fulfilling their heartfelt wishes. The delegation toured the new hospital facility and paediatric ward, where they met young patients and their families. A special moment was marked by the handover of a heartfelt painting created by a paediatric patient to the Make-A-Wish Foundation representatives.

During the visit, the foundation identified two children for whom they will grant wishes. One young girl expressed her dream to visit a shopping mall with her family to buy shoes and dresses, while a young boy shared his wish to go on a long drive by car or bike and receive a mobile phone. Highlighting the success of this collaboration, it was shared that over 300 children at Indus Hospital have had their wishes granted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation over the past five years.

This continued partnership reflects a shared commitment to providing not only exceptional medical care, but also emotional and psychological support to critically ill children and their families. The visit served as a reminder of the profound impact that fulfilling a child’s wish can have, creating moments of happiness and hope during challenging times. We are proud to support children’s medical care across Pakistan, as it hosts one of the largest paediatric oncology units in the country.
